What I did
- Designed the complete end-to-end MVP experience for the sous vide cooking app - Mapped device connectivity flows and core interaction models - Crafted intuitive control interfaces for temperature and session management - Translated sustainability principles into a functional, user-ready product concept
Problem
Many software-enable devices become unusable when manufacturers discontinue software support. As hardware outlives its companion app, users are left with functional devices that can no longer connect or operate digitally — creating unnecessary waste and frustration.
Solution
We explored a new app model designed to reconnect unsupported smart devices and restore their core functionality. As a proof of concept, we built and tested the approach using Anova Culinary sous vide devices — chosen for their technical feasibility and clear use case.
Impact
- Exhibited at a media forum in Paris - Generated strong media attention - Resulted in online press coverage
Final output
